Students will continue to apply their writing, editing and interviewing skills acquired in the previous course, this time in a multimedia context. They will learn how to record themselves and others for radio, podcast and video formats, as well as edit their recordings into packages suitable for public broadcasting. They will learn how to discuss and dissect controversial issues in a public setting while avoiding ethical and legal pitfalls. They will receive training on how best to present themselves in broadcast formats. Assessment for this course comprises attendance and class participation, as well as broadcast contributions to the modular portfolio. |
